PMP Preparation Anchor Leg

Most people think that PMP is an exam of memorization!!! and guess what, it is simply not the case :). However, there are things that are needed to be logically remembered on your exam day.
By far, I believe that you must have prepared for your exam and would have taken few mock tests and worried for memorization. I assume that ten to fifteen days are remaining for your test and you are pretty scared:D (everybody is ;)), don't worry here are some tips how to memorize those things. I would say practice, practice and practice will make you remember things. You have to practice for following things, so that you can write these on the scratch paper provided on the exam day, this will clearly help you in attempting question. Using these quick snippets you can solve formula questions and to some extent confusing question (what was previous or what is next type questions) easily.

I recommend to remember three things,

1. Rita Process Chart
2. All formulas
3. PMBOK Process Chart

Rita's Process chart is in PMP Exam Prep, Eighth Edition by Rita on page number 50, take the print out of the chart game and play it on daily basis. Make your own logic to play the game. Slowly and gradually, you will make the logical relationship between all activities present in the chart. This will help you in answering questions which are jumping from one process to another. This chart will help you to identify the activity in the situation easily. If you are a quick writer then you can opt this chart for writing on scratch sheets in the exam.

There are about 20 formulas to remember. Write these on daily basis, it will help you memorize very easily. I also recommend it to write on your download sheet. Here is the list,

The last thing is PMBOK process chart, you can find it in PBBOK 5th edition on page number 61, here is quick link as well,

It should also be written on daily basis. After writing 10 times, I am sure you will not forget it and easily download it on the scratch sheet. One quick tip is try to write it down in process group wise and in abbreviation form, it is more convenient to write down quickly.

Have a good time in the test :)
